India 2015 (First Month)

Well hi everybody! Feels like it has been years that I've not posted on this blog. The last time that I did was probably about 2 years ago. However, few days back my mom asked me whether I was still writing fashion blogs, and it did get me thinking why did I even stop. So I figured I'd do this again, take ootds, write about what I wear on most days, think that people would read it, and get back to blogging again :) apart from that, I also wanted to do more productive things to start off the year 2015! Let's all hope for it's' consistency! Cross your fingers for me! ;)

So today, I'd love to share a bit about my stay here in India. A little bit of catching up, I have graduated last year December from Bachelors of Mass Communication in Advertising in Taylor's University. (Yay, finally!). So at this moment, I'm just spending time with my family here in India before I get all serious in life and finally get a job :p

Honestly I've been spending a lot of time at home and just relaxing. A mere contrary of what I was doing back in Kuala Lumpur (ha ha). Finally got myself to go back to the gym again, send resumes out, plan for upcoming trips (after I leave India), play a lot of guitar, and spend quality time with the family.

✔️ Christmas Eve mass with the family

✔️ Christmas Dinner at home

✔️ Lunching with parents and hunting for leather jackets!

✔️ Out with the twins

✔️ Nanay Paning's birthday

✔️ Shopping Day with the family

✔️ When I went sightseeing with my brother

✔️ Gyming selfies (hehe)

So yup, that's most of the things that I was up for the first month that I'm here! February is here so I have about 3 weeks to go til I leave New Delhi. Pretty sure I'll savour the last month even more :)

See you again on my next post ;)

The Lamari - Urban Malaysian Women Fashion

Since Instagram had been the new "IN" thing, we girls are now able to have so many options to do shopping basically everywhere online! From our laptops and now, even more conveniently, through our phones. They're either just a double tap or a message away!

Now that shopping is just one click away, I have been going through a lot of Instagram online clothing shops. I came across this one account which was called - The Lamari. Although most of their products are targeted to Muslim women, I still found it interesting as they still had fashionable items. Their main aim is to make traditional Malaysian Muslim women clothing trendy and urbanized

"The Lamari Instagram Account"

When I visited their account, they actually do have a good selection of clothing - from tops to bottoms, accessories to shoes, bags to shawls. It's actually pretty fascinating to see that you don't have to show so much skin just to be trendy. I have some of my own picks that I saw on their account and I would talk about them in more detail below.

1. Blazers in different colors

One of my fave picks from their selection is this blazer which is available in different colors. I have kept in mind that Muslim women are supposed to cover up their whole arm and from their legs to their ankle. Putting this blazer on, on top of a normal T-shirt would surely already make the whole outfit! It is definitely a statement piece. Pair this blazer with any skinny jeans that could go with any of the color of the blazer that you would like. One more thing that I love about this piece is how it has a different color inside when you fold the sleeves up!

2. Flowy Maxi Bottoms

Do you ever think about being comfortable but still being trendy? Maxi bottoms would be your best friend! You don't have to disregard comfort just to be fashionable, you could do it both ways! Just when I was scrolling through their pictures, this item already caught my eye! As for Muslim women that would want to try this out but feel like it would not look as nice. Just pair this maxi bottoms with fitted long sleeve top, a color that could match the maxi bottoms (preferable white or black), and for sure that you could rock this outfit!

3. Shawls (Tudung)

I personally don't wear shawls as I am not Muslim. However, I do observe that there's always a certain type of shawl that is suitable for different Muslim women. I feel that Muslim women must find the type that would fit them very well. When I saw the shawls that The Lamari is offering, I felt that they have very trendy choices as they have different set of colors. More than that, they have this lining on the edge of the shawl that has a different color too which gives the face a nicer glow.

5 Dresses

Hi guys!

So here is the part 2 of my previous blog. I mentioned that I was going to post a continuation blog so that I could cover all the outfits that I've worn for the last few months I haven't been blogging. But oh well, even the part 2 took longer than expected. You're probably already used to that. :p

On this blog, I'd be taking about the different dresses I've worn in the past 2 months probably. I've been loving dresses for a while now.. Girly, casual, edgy, you name it! I love all types. I'd be posting 5 different dresses that I really love and hopefully you guys will too :)

1. Brand: MNB

What can I even say? This is probably my favourite so far. I love how sophisticated looking it is, and edgy at the same time. This is by far the coolest dress I own. Another good thing about it, is that you can wear it on a casual day out or a night out with your friends. But this time, I decided to wear it during a night out with my friends :) This dress is already accessorised on its own, which is the lion print. We don't even need much accessories to wear with it. A simple pair of earrings plus neutral coloured bangles will be just fine.

2. Brand: MNB

I've never really own a little red dress before. So when I saw this, I just had to get it. The dress looks so proper to me, but still stylish. It is quite short so I wore a pair or black shorts underneath. I think that it flatters my body shape, and it looks good on me because red always goes with black. I have black hair :)

3. Brand: H&M

I was shopping for the perfect New Years dress few months back, when I saw this dress, I knew it was the one. Haha. Kidding aside, I really loved it at first sight! The dress fits my body like a glove. It's just really flattering. Plus, I didn't really have a flat tummy back then, so it helped me cover it up because it's all black, and the studs on it makes the dress even curvier, thus me looking curvier. However, a thing I don't like about this dress is that... Everyone has it! I kinda hate having a piece of clothing that everyone has. So I've actually never worn this dress again after New Years.

4. Brand: Forever 21

This dress is very sweet and girly. Not my favourite, but probably my second favourite. I'm usually the edgy type but I've started experimenting on my clothes, I don't normally wear dark coloured clothing as much as before. I love to mix and match colours and that's the reason why I love this dress? Believe me, I never liked the colour orange, but this dress just looks very girly and refreshing. It has a nice style as well, it's something like a flowy tube dress. Probably my most worn dress out of the rest.

5. Brand: MNB

Isn't this the cutest dress ever? I wore this during my friend's birthday dinner and clubbing after that. I got a lot of compliments wearing it and yup, my favourite party dress so far. Can't you tell I love all my dresses, so they're all my favourite in their own styles. Haha. This is definitely a dress to wear on beach parties, neon parties, any kind of parties! Except a formal party obviously. I've actually only worn this once, can't wait to wear it again :)

So that's it guys! My next blog posts will contain one outfit per post or fashion stuff like hauls and my favourites.

Hope you liked this post :)

It's been 6 months!

Hi guys!

I just noticed that I haven't been blogging for about 6MONTHS now, and I feel quite disappointed with myself because I always start something and I usually stop halfway. But not anymore! Since I'm back in college and have loads of free time while waiting for my class to start, I shall use that time to blog more. Plus I got my iPad few months back and it's time to put it in use. I love this thing, probably the best gadget I've ever had!

I've been shopping quite a lot lately and I have lots of new outfits that I have already worn. I am still active in posting my outfit of the day (ootd) pictures on my Instagram but don't really talk about it further nor give the brands I'm wearing. So I wanna share with you guys some of my favourite outfits during the last couple of months. This will be quite a long post because I have a handful of outfits to show, so just read on if you're interested :)

1. Glamourous Rockstar look

It's still a sophisticated look even with the use of rebellious pieces. I wore this outfit when I went shopping probably a week ago. Actually, it was my first time ever wearing a high low skirt and I never thought I'd be able to pull it off. High lows aren't just for the tall ones, but will also flatter any girl of any height.

Muscle Tee - Brands Outlet
High Low Skirt - given by a friend
Flats - Vincci
Accessories - Random boutiques

2. Music Festival Look

I attended the Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA 2013 Day 2) last month and I had the time of my life! It was my first time going to one and it'll definitely not be the last time. I never really thought there was an inner raver in me :p
So moving into the outfit, I chose a very comfortable match (tube crop, high waisted shorts and sandals). I knew that there'd be a lot of sweating, jumping, running and whatsoever so I wanted to stay comfortable all day and not regret anything by wearing something too fancy.

Tube Crop Top - Forever 21
High-Waisted Shorts - Denim Co. (Which you've already seen in this blog millions of times. Haha)
Sandals - Vincci
Bag and Sunnies- Friends'

3. Casual and Pastels

Now that it's time for a new season and new trends are here, I've been really loving pastel colors and incorporating them in my outfits as much as I can. I was never really into colorful clothes few months back. So I just started adding a lot of pastels and neons in my wardrobe when the Spring trends started. I wore this outfit when I just wanted to have a relaxing day with my friends. Just had something to eat and hung out in our usual place :p

Top - H&M
Tube underneath - Friends'
Jeans - Zara
Flats - Vincci
Bag - Friends'
Accessories - Random

4. Simple and Feminine

I think I wore this outfit a loooong time ago. I could barely remember when it was and what I did that day. But I do remember now. Haha. I usually wear long sleeves only when I know that I'd be indoors most of the day. As most of you know, I live in Kuala Lumpur and it gets quite hot here. Long sleeves aren't really something I'd recommend if you guys are planning to visit the country. This day, I remember that I hung out with my friends at The Curve (a mall) to watch a movie and finally go ice skating. I had a lot of fun and yup, I was happy I chose the perfect outfit for that kinda day out.

Long Sleeves Top - Forever 21
Jeans - Zara
Flats - Vincci
Statement Necklace - Nose
Bag - Friends'

5. Casual and Shorts

The most common casual outfit is of course (or for at least us Asians) are paired with shorts. Going back to KL being really hot, if I was to wear a long sleeve shirt when I know I have to be somewhere out, I'd pair it with shorts. I found this outfit ( top & shorts ) at the same shop and they were on sale. Such a steal! Only RM 45 for both. And how cute are the shorts! I wore this outfit when I just hung out at my friends' house.

Long Sleeves Top - Cotton On
Shorts - Cotton On
Flats - Vincci
Bag - Guess

So there you go! 5 different outfits in one post! Just trying to catch up a little bit because I was gone for 6 months! How sad is that? I actually do have a lot more outfits to show. Maybe I'll do a Part 2 in a few dats :)

Hope you guys like this blog post! Will come back soon, I promise! Haha :)

NEON

Hi guys!

I've been wanting to post this ootd for the longest time. It's just that I keep forgetting and I've been feeling lazy to blog these days :p

I probably wore this outfit 3 weeks ago at Vogue's UV light/Neon party. I really loved this outfit that's why I've been meaning to post it up. It was pretty simple but it's still eye catching and fun.

Outfit:
Top: Forever 21
Bikini (Inside shirt): Topshop
Skirt: FOS
Pumps: Zalora

(I apologize for the hideous quality of the pics above. What to do, iPhone camera sucks sometimes.)

I am wearing my mint green top which by the way has a cut in the back; too bad I didn't get to take a pic of it to show you guys. But yeah, that gives the outfit an edgier look. I paired it with my barbie pink skirt because these colors compliment each other so well; and I was going to a Neon party which gives me the right to go all out with these bright colors. I wore this outfit with my nude pumps from Zalora which I love, because I didn't have any pair of heels that could go better with this outfit. These pumps were perfect :)

Hoped you like this post!

Halloween 2012

Hi guys!

November just started and that means it's time to post up pictures from my previous Halloween celebration! Do you guys think that 2012 is passing by like a rocket? I've been trying to take it all in that this year is almost ending; BECAUSE I really don't want it to end just yet. :( My family is leaving to India by the end of the year and I'm going to be left alone in Malaysia to finish off the first year of my degree.

Well anyway, let's not go there now. Makes me sad :p

So these are the pictures from 2 weeks ago when my friends (Keymir, Ifu, Val, Naquie and some other people) and I celebrated Halloween in Bedroom, Pavilion

(pic of me and the boyfriend <3)

Sadly I didn't get to take a picture of my whole outfit but this photo up here will do :)
Outfit:
Corset: Borrowed from my friend, Sarah (thank you!)
Black shorts: Cotton On
Heels (not shown): Vincci

And this was the make-up that I did.
Pretty scary huh? No? Yes?
The make-up was pretty simple coz I just used a lot of bronzers, gel eyeliner, and red lipstick :)

Here are some other pictures that we took that night :)

With my babi & Val in the dance floor :)

Met up with some of my ADP Friends, Nabila & Kavisha :)

With my best buddies :)

Creepy people.

With my guuurl, Val :) She looked scary as hell!

That's all I have guys. Hope you liked it!

Less Than 20$ Outfit

Hi guys!

Wow. October went by so quickly, I didn't even realize that I have only done 2 blog posts this month. That's a shame

Well, I hope that I could spend the last few days of October blogging more :)

So today, I wanted to show you guys the outfit that I wore last Friday. It was a really comfy outfit plus it was also very cheap. Sometimes you don't really have to go for known brands to get fashionable outfits. As for me, I don't mind anything. When I have the cash, I go for known brands such as Forever 21, Zara, Mango, Cotton On and the list will just go on and on. However, I also don't mind buying some piece of clothing from the Time Square, Sungei Wang, thrift stores, 168, and other low cost markets. You would seriously be surprised on how those kind of products have great quality and style only for a very inexpensive price.

So this was my 'less than 20$ outfit'

Outfit:
Dress: Sungei Wang
Shoes: Penshoppe
Necklace: A gift
Belt: Came with my high-waisted shorts from Denim.Co

Over all, I literally only paid for two things in this outfit - The dress & the flats
This pink plain dress from Sungei Wang is only for RM17 (around $5)! Can you believe that? The quality is so soft and it fits me perfectly and it's only for 17 bucks! I was so excited about it and I actually got one more. I got another pink dress but with flower prints on it. Such a great deal
The flats was actually more expensive than the dress because it came from a known brand in the Philippines. It was around P450 ($10). But honestly, this is one of my cheapest flats that I own but they are the most comfy!

So yup, basically this whole outfit is only for $15; freakin cheap without having to sacrifice the style nor the quality.

That's it for this post!
